Buy It Now May 4, 2006
By Diva Gigi
Buy It Now is great! I just scored this, um, “pattern” on Ebay. As I was doing my daily search for new items I ran across this Adrian pattern. The auction was for the envelope and instructions only - the pattern itself is missing. Since 1) I have never, ever, ever seen an Adrian pattern before, 2) it’s not a style that would flatter my thick waist and 3) it’s not even close to my size I decided to BIN just for the joy of being able to look at it. That’s a whole lotta joy for $10, don’t you think?

Oh my, that’s a wonderful draft. I’ll bet we know a Sewing Diva that could make that pattern, eh Els?
I am hoping that there will be diagrams of the pattern pieces in the instruction leaflet! If there are, I will post them.
I noticed the crossed detail under the bust and it reminded me of one of the Marfy patterns I wish I could wear, #F9450 on the VoguePatterns.com site. I just may make that up someday, just because!
Plus it’s an Adrian - how cool is that?!
That’s a really pretty design! How fun!
Gigi, thanks for showing that wonderful Adrian dress, those were the days of fine elegant stylish dresses. It is great that although we live in a different era now, we still can enjoy those now called vintage designs because people treasured those patterns or at least the envelop.
MaryBeth I could try to copy it , but my waist line is not suitable for that gorgeous design either. But I filed the picture like I do with a lot of other interested design lines .
OMG, can I borrow it to trace??? What a fabulous pattern. Gigi, Els, c’mon - we NEED you to make this up! -Ann

Unfortunately, Ann, there is no pattern.
The auction was for the envelope and instructions only. Have you ever seen an Adrian pattern before??
Doh! I read that, but clearly it didn’t register.
The envelope alone is certainly suitable for framing.
